Body Handling Exercises - Do one or two of these a couple of times a day.  Only do it when your dog is calm and relaxed.  If they start chewing on you...  stop the exercise

 -- Touch hand to collar, give a treat.  Touch hand to collar, give a treat.  Repeat about 5 times.

    Touch hand to collar, gently hold collar, Let go then give a treat.  Repeat about 5 times.

     Use this for other parts of the body also

    Touch ear, give a treat. Repeat, etc.

    Touch and look in ear, give a treat.  Repeat, etc

    Touch foot, give a treat.  Repeat with different feet.

    Touch and gently hold foot, give a treat.

    Pick up feet, touch nail clipper to a nail, give a treat.

    Food comes out AFTER action is done – not before.

If you notice that your dog is uncomfortable with any of these, go back a step and make sure he looks comfortable with that one.  After he is, you can go on to the next but only do it about 3 times.  Then come back to it later.  Be sure he is comfortable with each step before pushing it further.
